Songs From Moving On
Chapter 36
All of the songs on this page are the songs sung by characters in Moving On chapter 36. The only songs I made videos for are the ones that advance the story, so the songs sung by Suze and the unnamed twink in this chapter are not included. This chapter has very mediocre visuals. I may go back and redo them at some point, but since the only part that really matters in them is the audio, it's not very high on my list of priorities.
Will's Song - Bridge Over Troubled Water
Performed by Simon and Garfunkle
Like the first karaoke scene, the first song sung by the group is a song about being there for someone. This time, it's Will singing to Jason. I guess it's fairly telling of me that both of these songs are sung by people who later enter into relationships with the person they are singing to.

Jason's Song - A House is Not a Home
Performed by Luther Vandross
Jason sings this about his boyfriend, Joey, who was shot and killed in an armed robbery at a store by the same man who killed Scott's husband. Unlike when Scott sings Halo in Chapter 12 of Moving On, there's no subconscious undertones of wanting a relationship with Will. Although one is clearly forming between the pair by the end of the evening, it would be several weeks before they actually admitted their feelings for each other.

Noah's Song - Songbird
Performed by Fleetwood Mac
Noah wants to sing a song about pure, unbridled love for Scott. Songbird is possibly my favorite love song of all time. The bridge (And I wish you all the love in the world / But most of all, I wish it from myself) always makes me tear up a bit. I also recommend you check out the version of this submitted to me by Chris. In his recording, he plays all the music, and sings all the vocals.

Tom's Song - Fuck You
Performed by Cee Lo Green
Sarah turned out to be little more than a gold-digger. When she showed up at karaoke with her new man, Suze and Miranda conspire with Tom to put her in her place (in Suze's typical over-the-top style). The end result is the meek and usually profanity-free Tom (a rarity among my characters) sings one of the most profane pop hits in recent history.

Scott's Song - Tonight I'm Fucking You
Performed by Enrique Iglesias
You'll notice this video is different from the others. Due to copyright restrictions, YouTube stripped the audio from my version, so I'm posting this version, which will actually play the song. While Noah sings a song of pure love, Scott has had one thing on his mind for the days building up to this scene: sex. He wants it, and he wants it bad. And he's prepared to make a fool of himself, singing while grinding on Noah, to get what he wants. He is successful, and if you want to read the result, it's located at the beginning of Chapter 37.
